Little Saigon: Best Vietnamese Pho in Amsterdam

If you like noodles with soup, please try Pho at Little Saigon. The best Pho you have in Amsterdam city center also comes at a reasonable price!

Pho is a soup consisting of broth, rice noodles, herbs, and perfectly sliced beef. I like the tenderness of the sliced meat, and it costs around EUR 10, which is very cheap.

The restaurant is full of customers during dinner times. Make sure you come a bit earlier than 18:00, so there is no need to wait for the tables.

Bird Snack Bar Amsterdam: Authentic Thai Street Food in Amsterdam

Do you like Thai food? Then you have to visit Bird SnackBar in Amsterdam China Town. Bird SnackBar offers tasty Thai food, and I enjoy their Tom Yum Kung Soup the most.

The restaurant is tiny and only offers 5-6 tables for guests, so there is always an extensive line at the door during peak hours.

They have a takeaway special for only EUR 10, but you get a lot of food, the main course, rice, and fresh vegetables. If the weather is good, I highly recommend you have takeaway food and enjoy the food along the canals in Amsterdam.

Don’t go to the wrong one!

Across the street is a restaurant named “Bird Thais Restaurant.”

I tried it once since I couldn’t get a table at Bird Snack Bar; I never dine there again since the food tastes much better at Bird Snack Bar Amsterdam. Please don’t make the same mistake as I did.

Wok to Walk: Quick and Cheap Chinese Food in Amsterdam

Are you traveling on a budget? Then make sure to take advantage of Wok to Walk.

They offer fried rice or fried noodles with vegetables depending on your preference. If you don’t need extra vegetables and meat, the basic box is around 5 euros, a good option for backpackers.

Wok to Walk has various locations across Amsterdam; check their website or search Wok to Walk on Google Maps.

Nyonya Malaysia Restaurant: Tasty Malaysian Food in Amsterdam

If you like Asian food but want to try something different, then Malaysian food might be a good choice.

They offer food from Malaysia and Singapore, and I like Hainanese Chicken rice the most. Larsa noodles soup is also a good choice if you prefer spicy food.

Location: Kloveniersburgwal 38, Amsterdam (China Town)

Tanuki Japans Eetcafe: Good Quality Japanese Food in Amsterdam

Japanese food is always a good choice.

Tanuki offers Japanese food at a reasonable price. They are not only famous for Japanese food but also popular for the small side dishes from Japan.

Since they have authentic Japanese food, I often see Japanese people eating there after work.

If you are on a budget, please order their specialty: Rice with eel. You also get a cup of miso soup with it for free. Then, you have cheaper Japanese food in Amsterdam.
